Florida's 17th District, located the Gulf Coast, includes all of Sarasota County, Charlotte County, and the northeast corner of Lee County.  The major metropolitan areas include Sarasota, North Port, Venice, Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, North Fort Myers, Lehigh Acres, and a small section of Fort Myers.
