North Port City Commission Meeting

The North Port city leaders voted 4–1 to temporarily stop big data centers from coming to North Port. This 18-month pause will give the city time to make sure these huge computer warehouses do not use up too much of our local water or electricity.

But this rule is not permanent yet! The city council needs to make one final vote on Tuesday, September 22, at 6:00 p.m.

Matthew Montavon, who is running for Congress, is helping the community protect our water and neighborhoods. He is fighting to protect our Southwest Florida wetlands and waterways.

Come stand with Matthew Montavon at North Port City Hall on Tuesday, September 22. Arrive at 5:30 to sign up for (or submit) public comment before the meeting, starting at 6:00 p.m.

We need you there to show city leaders that we care about our home. If you want to help or learn more, check out our Facebook Page.

Let's work together to protect our community!
